BrightHy Signs Landmark Green Hydrogen Agreement for the supply and operation of a 2 MW Green Hydrogen Plant for Çimsa Cementos in Spain

Bright Hydrogen Solutions Ltd. (BrightHy) has signed a long-term agreement with ÇIMSA Cementos España S.A.U. for the supply and 10-year operation of a 2 MW green hydrogen production facility at Çimsa’s cement operations in Buñol, Spain.

The project will support the decarbonization of cement production through the integration of green hydrogen into industrial thermal processes while also valorizing the oxygen generated during electrolysis. The facility will be executed and operated through BrightHy’s hydrogen infrastructure investment platform under a long-term operations and maintenance structure.

The agreement follows BrightHy’s previous announcement regarding its selection to advance to final contract negotiations for the project and marks the transition of the project into execution. The company expects the project to become one of the first industrial hydrogen leasing and long-term service structures implemented in the Iberian cement sector.

The project also leverages BrightHy’s strategic partnership with Sungrow Hydrogen, supporting BrightHy’s strategy to accelerate the deployment of bankable industrial hydrogen projects across Southern Europe. (Read the full press release)
